American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983, comprising vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist John Frusciante, Red Hot Chili Peppers released a new song “Eddie” off there forthcoming album project titled Return of the Dream Canteen.
“Oh man, bless his beautiful creative heart,” Flea tweeted at the time. “Eddie Van Halen, a true rocker from Los Angeles, I adore you. I hope you play music with Jimi tonight. Break through to the other side, brother.”
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to release Return Of The Dream Canteen, their second album of 2022, following this April’s Unlimited Love. They released “Tippa My Tongue” from it last month and soon after received the Global Icon Award at the VMAs.
